Event Description: This event is a day trip to Snowstar Winter Sports Park, where scouts will have the opportunity to Ski or Snowboard on some of the park's gnarly hills and trails.
We will meet at 7:00 AM Saturday morning and leave by 7:15 AM to arrive at the opening time of 9:00 AM. The drive is just under 2 hours long. We will ski/board all day, so please bring money for both lunch and dinner (about $20 is recommended). The park closes at 9:00 PM, but if the scouts are tired, we may leave earlier. Parents will be notified on the way home of our ETA.
If we can get 15 people to sign up, a lift ticket and rental will cheaper. Scouts can also bring their own gear (skis or board). Helmet rentals are an additional $5. We must sign up and prepay at least 2 days in advance to take advantage of this option, so if you plan on attending, please sign up early!
If we have reached 15 people, signup will close on December 28th so we can sign up at least a week in advance and confirm our spot. If we have not reached 15 people, signup will extend until Tuesday the 31st.
As always, we will most likely need drivers, so please consider attending with your scout.
IMPORTANT: Please print off and bring with you a SIGNED rental waiver and a Skiing/Snowboarding/Tubing waiver, which can be found at http://skisnowstar.com/waivers7
For more information or if you have any questions, please visit skisnowstar.com or email charlie or scott.
This event should be a lot of fun! Siblings are welcome too, as long as a parent is attending!
