Event Cost: base cost (~$265 for scout, $90 for adult, $0 for adult leader) + Snacks/Souvenirs + Extra Activities. Average total spent between $280 to $310

Event Description:

A week long camp where scouts can complete merit badges, work on rank advancement, and have fun with boating (canoeing, motorboating, rowing, small boat sailing), shooting, hiking, climbing, and more.

Even though the camp leader guide has some information that is specific to leaders, please read this guide. There is a lot of information that both scouts and parents need to know.

The following steps must be completed before you can be registered. Please complete on or before 4/29:

  1. Fill out the sign-up form at the bottom of this page.

  2. Print out the advancement schedule, page 20 of Camp Bunn Leader Guide.

  3. Put your full name at the top of the advancement schedule and clearly indicate what activities you would like to do. New scouts are encouraged to attend Eagle Quest to quickly complete many rank requirements (see page 21 of leader's guide for more details).

  4. See our troop Treasurer, Mr. Hayes. He will check your account balance or ask for payment for the base cost of camp. Once funds are complete, he will sign your schedule. Please note some activities have additional costs (see page 4 of leader guide)

  5. After getting Treasurer's signature, turn in your schedule to Mr. Olsen or Mr. Gronewold, and they will discuss with you your planned schedule

  6. If you want to join your scout for Family Night Celebration Dinner, fill out the bottom of page 22 in leader's guide and turn in to Mr. Olsen. Payment ahead of time will save you time at camp, but if you prefer to wait, meal tickets may be purchased at the Camp Trading Post. There is no cost to attend only the celebration.

  7. Base cost and schedules are due on or before 4/29.

Before camp starts:

  • Make sure you have a current BSA Medical Form with parts A, B, and C filled out (part C must be filled out by MD, LPN, or PA). You cannot attend summer camp without this

  • Attend our troop swim test. If you do not attend our troop swim test, you will need to take a swim test at camp. If you do not take a swim test, you will be considered a "non-swimmer" and your water activities will be restricted.

  • Any merit badges you want to earn while at camp need to have their prerequisites completed before camp. See page 14 of Camp Bunn Leader Guide
