Event Description: Come out and help your community by taking down American Flags between the Washington Square and Glendale Cemetery in honor of our Veterans. Also, earn service hours for your next rank advancement. We need 4 to 5 scouts with 2 adults per vehicle (truck preferred). The more help we have, the quicker we can get all the flags taken down along the parade route.
We will meet near the stage (usually a semi trailer) at Glendale Cemetery where Memorial Day ceremony was held. Depending on the number of volunteers, we will split up and begin to remove the flags. Once flags are removed, we will drive to the city building on Legion Road to put the flags and stands away in the building. Parents will likely be needed to assist transporting scouts from the square/cemetery to the City Building.
