Event Description: Please join us on Sunday, September 8th as we welcome walkers into the Veterans Memorial for a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, hand out water bottles and programs, and help escort some less mobile attendees on and off their buses. We will meet at 4:20 PM at the Veterans Memorial to get our assignments and instructions from Mr. Berlett.

The walkers (not scouts) will start walking at 5:00 at the Lincoln tennis courts. Once the walkers return to the Veterans' Memorial, at approximately 5:20, Mayor Manier will give a welcome and introductions. There will be an opening prayer and National Anthem followed by some speakers and an explanation of bell strikes that will be made. Lights on fire trucks and police cars will be turned on during the playing of Taps. There will be a closing prayer and the ceremony will end.

Please come and show your support for the community and our first responders by helping with this event. You will also earn service hours, which is required for some rank advancements.
